A man was shot in the stomach on Howard Avenue in Bridgeport, police say.

The shooting happened Sunday around 11 p.m. in the1200 block of Howard Avenue.

Police say they received multiple 911 calls about a man who had been shot.

The victim was brought to the hospital by a private car.

Police did not say if any arrests were made or what condition the victim was in.
