Police: Man shot to death on Bridgeport's East Side

A man was fatally shot on Spring Street in Bridgeport on Wednesday, police say.
It happened just before 6 p.m.
Police say gunshots were picked up by ShotSpotter, and when police arrived, they found a man in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say the victim was taken to the hospital, where he died shortly afterward.
Officials say they are in the process of collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses.
