2ds agoA Newtown woman was arrested after shooting an individual and then barricading inside a home for hours, police say.
It happened Sunday at around 8 p.m. on Boggs Hills Road in Newtown.
Police say they received a report of a dispute and found an individual suffering from multiple gunshot wounds when they got to the scene.
They say 32-year-old Meghan Gouveia then barricaded herself in the home until around 1 a.m. Monday.
Gouveia is now facing multiple charges, including assault and criminal use of a firearm.
