A Norwalk man is facing charges after police say he sexually assaulted a child between the ages of 5 and 7.

Officers say the victim reported the incident to police nearly two years ago.

Norwalk police arrested Edelson Martinez Friday near his home.

Police did not say when the alleged incidents occurred.

Martinez is being held on a $250,000 bond.
