One person was injured after an accident that involved a car and a motorcycle in Torrington, according to fire officials.

The Torrington Fire Department said it happened at the intersection of New Harwinton Road and Torringford West Street on Saturday.

Officials said one person was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to a trauma center.

Torrington police are investigating what caused the accident.
