Danbury police investigated a suspicious incident at Danbury Fair mall on Thursday.
Police said the incident occurred inside of Macy's.
The mall was evacuated and closed but later reopened, according to Danbury police.
Officials did not release information on what led to the evacuation and closing.
In Waterbury, the Brass Mill Center mall was also evacuated following a bomb threat.
Mall staff told police the threat came from a phone call.
Waterbury police investigated and found the threat to be a hoax and not a danger to the public.
It is unknown if the incidents were related, and Danbury police did not confirm the nature of the threat made to the Danbury Fair mall.
