Stamford police are searching for a key witness who saw a car lose control and strike a pedestrian Tuesday.
Investigators say a blue Toyota Echo was at the scene when a Toyota Camry lost control on Greyrock Place and Broad Street and slammed into 72-year-old Helen Powell. The driver of the Camry, 41-year-old Karen Harley, is refusing to cooperate with police. Powell, who was pinned against her own car, suffered severe leg injuries and is listed in fair condition at Stamford Hospital.
Stamford police are asking anyone with information to call 203-977-4444.
