The NYPD is on the hunt for a man suspected of three robberies against women in Fordham.
Police say all of the robberies happened within a four-block radius of Webster Avenue. They say the most recent robbery victim was an 81-year-old woman.
The suspect allegedly attacked the elderly woman in a stairwell and snatched her necklace. She had to be taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital to have a cut on her face treated.
During the first two robberies, which happened in late August and on Labor Day, police say the suspect got away with a cellphone and a necklace. One of the victims was injured on her ankle.
Authorities have released surveillance video of the suspect taken about a week ago.
Residents who live in the area are reminded to be extra cautious of their surroundings.
