Stamford police stepped up patrols at an elementary school Monday after a teen was shot near the school last week.
Police say two groups met behind Westover Elementary School around 5:30 p.m. Friday and argued before one person pulled out a gun and fired five rounds.
Officers say a 19-year-old was hit in the back but is expected to be OK. They say the boy is not cooperating with the investigation.
Police say there is surveillance video of the shooting and that they are reviewing it. They say they may release it to the public later this week.
Police have not made any arrests yet in the case.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Stamford police.
