A school in Norwalk received what police described as an unverified swatting call Monday.
Police did not name the school but said it was a public school in the city. They say officers responded and cleared the school but did not find any credible threat.
Police believe the threat was unfounded. They believe Monday's incident is similar to several swatting calls that were called into neighboring school districts last week.
Out of an abundance of caution, a secure protocol was established across all schools in the district, with officers assigned to each school to "provide a sense of safety and security."
