6h agoYale New Haven Health hosted a Car Seat Safety Day event Wednesday as part of National Child Passenger Safety Week.
The event took place at 50 Imperial Ave. in Westport.
Police and firefighters from several local departments, including Milford, Fairfield, Westport, Norwalk and New Canaan, conducted car seat checks.

Parents and caretakers were educated on proper car seat and seat belt placement.
Yale New Haven Health says more than seven out 10 car seats in Connecticut are not installed properly or misused.
