An event that features live music, food trucks, historical tours on the water and more is back as SoundWaters HarborFest makes its return to Stamford.
"After taking a year off due to COVID-19, Stamford's HarborFest is back this year at Harbor Point,” says Bob Mazzone, vice president of Development at SoundWaters.
In 2019, the festival attracted over 7,000 people to Harbor Point.
HarborFest is the brainchild of SoundWaters, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to conservation education.
“In addition to the education, it’s just fun,” says Mazzone. “Part of conservation of Long Island Sound is loving Long Island Sound.”
They say the more people love the harbor, the more they will want to keep it healthy.
HarborFest starts at 10 a.m. on Aug. 28 and runs all day. Fireworks from the City of Stamford will start at 8:30 p.m.
