News 12 John Craven sat down for a one-on-one interview
with Gov. Ned Lamont where they touched on many hot button topics that
residents are discussing.
Among them were the state’s new mask rules:
"I can tell you people feel pretty liberated.
Everywhere I go, people are feeling good that they've earned the right to this
new normal."
The $1,000 signing bonus as an incentive to get the state
back to work:
"You see the big athletes get a signing bonus. Why
don't you get a signing bonus as well?"
And his prospects of running for reelection:
“I'd like to work with people and put the politics as
far away as I can as long as I can."
The full interview with the governor will run this weekend
on Power & Politics on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
