State lawmakers want to know why the head of Connecticut State Colleges and Universities will keep his six-figure salary even though he was ousted after a spending scandal. Senate Republicans are asking CSCU Regents for more details about the deal to keep Terrence Cheng on as a "strategic advisor" until his contract expires next summer. Specifically, they want to know what Cheng will be doing.

Also, the Real ID deadline is fast approaching. Starting Wednesday, adults will have to present a Real ID drivers license or passport in order to board a domestic flight. It could take up to 20 days to get a hard copy of the ID. Tony Guerrera, commissioner of the CT Department of Motor Vehicles, joins the show.
