Every year, the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program honors deserving students from across the country. A total of 161 graduating seniors nationwide are chosen for their accomplishments. This year, three of them hail from Connecticut – Annika Mengwall from Darien High School, Cy Pavlov from Trumbull High School and Leigh Foran from Staples High School in Westport.
Also, Dr. Manisha Juthani, the commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Health, speaks on the scorching heat that has defined the summer so far.
