President Donald Trump imposed sweeping 25% tariffs on all steel and aluminum imported into the United States on Wednesday – a policy aimed at leveling the playing field for U.S. manufacturing but a move that threatens to drive up prices on a broad range of consumer and industrial goods for Americans.
Also, State Rep. Matt Blumenthal is one of two lawmakers that has re-introduced legislation this year to ban the use of non-disclosure agreements in Connecticut workplaces. If successful Connecticut will have protections similar to those already on the books in California, New Jersey, and the state of Washington. But some business associations are against the idea, saying a ban will leave businesses vulnerable.
