Are you ready for some fun? Quassy Amusement Park and Lake Compounce are both opening their seasons this weekend.

Quassy Amusement Park opens its 116th season Saturday. The park is holding a fundraiser through May 5. Guests can score single-day tickets for $17 if they bring in a nonperishable food item or home cleaning product. All donations go to support families in financial distress.

Lake Compounce is also opening Saturday with a special "opening weekend" extravaganza. The spotlight will be on Lake Compounce's iconic 100-year-old Wildcat roller coaster, which is making its return after two years of extensive renovations.
