The Quinnipiac University men’s ice hockey team marked the end of their season on Sunday night in a 5-4 overtime loss against Boston College.
The third period of the regional final ended in a 4-4 tie, leading into overtime. Boston’s Jack Malone brought home the OT win with assists from teammates Colby Ambrosio and Drew Fortescue. BC keeps its No. 1 national ranking.
The Bobcats were the national champions in last year’s annual Frozen Four championship. The Eagles will move onto the semifinals in Saint Paul, Minnesota starting April 11.
