Railway Cafe in Winsted says it plans to reopen following the death of owner Carrie Stetson.

The announcement was shared in a social media post this week, just days after Stetson’s husband was charged in connection with her death.

According to police, officers responded to a home on Oak Street where they found Carrie Stetson dead following a reported domestic violence incident.

Her husband, Leon Stetson, was taken to a hospital after the incident. He has since been charged with murder, home invasion and criminal violation of a protective order.

Despite the tragedy, Railway Cafe said it intends to reopen, though details about a reopening date have not yet been announced.

The case remains under investigation.
