A Stamford man is repairing his damaged holiday decorations after a vandal struck.

Clinton Vass says his decorations were fine when he went to sleep about midnight, but he found the problem when he woke up about 6 a.m. Saturday. A polar bear, candy canes and a noel sign were destroyed. Vass says the hundreds of dollars in damage almost broke his Christmas spirit, but he?ll recover.

The Vass family has been putting up displays without incident for the past 10 years.
