The town of Redding held a menorah lighting Thursday night on the Town Green.
Organizers say it's the first time they've held a public menorah lighting.
Rabbi Jason Greenberg of Temple Shalom in Norwalk led the ceremony. First Selectwoman Julia Pemberton was on hand.
Latkes and jelly doughnuts were served.
