? Gov. Jodi Rell has announced a $525 million economic stimulus package designed to create jobs and fund various projects in the state.

Rell says the state plans to issue bonds that will boost jobs, fund school construction projects, bolster manufacturing and fill transportation and social service needs.

As part of the plan, $20 million will be used for repairs to the Moses Wheeler Bridge. $13 million will also be used for improvements along Metro-North?s New Haven line and $2 million will go toward the cleanup of Bridgeport?s Brownfields.

Rell says she expects the state Bond Commission to approve the funding next week.
