Reps. Norcross, Gottheimer criticize Rutgers’ handling of pro-Palestinian protest
The congressmen were not happy that Rutgers officials caved to the protesters’ demands while not addressing a rise of antisemitism on campus.

Democratic Rep. Donald Norcross and Rep. Josh Gottheimer have joined some Republican lawmakers in criticizing Rutgers University officials for caving to the demands of pro-Palestinian protesters last week. Norcross and Gottheimer also say Rutgers is ignoring calls from Jewish students and faculty to address antisemitism on campus.
The congressmen sent a letter to Rutgers President Jonathan Holloway which read in part, "...actions, and lack thereof, send the disturbing message that those on campus who abide by the rules and engage respectfully with the administration will be ignored while persistent purveyors of harassment, hatred, and intimidation will be rewarded."

Jewish faculty members sent a letter to Holloway in December pleading with the university to address antisemitism on campus after Oct. 7 when Hamas launched an attack on Israel.
Rutgers is not the subject of a Congressional probe and Holloway has been called to testify.
