(05/05/06) BRIDGEPORT ? Many residents in Bridgeport fear recent violent incidents in the city will keep people away from two major events Friday evening.
About 14,000 people are expected to attend a concert and Bridgeport Bluefish minor league baseball game. According to Bridgeport Mayor John Fabrizi, those planning to attend the event have nothing to worry about. Fabrizi says the city?s police department will be out in force to keep residents safe.
Despite the assurances, Fabrizi says residents should be concerned about one particular aspect of the events. The mayor knows parking will be at a premium in the city.
