Residents gathered at Greenwich Town Hall Friday to participate in the 10th annual YWCA Stand Against Racism rally.
The town meeting hall was packed to capacity as speakers shed light on racial issues facing the community and how important it is to work together to solve them.
Organizers say that despite Greenwich being a quiet town, there is a lot of diversity and a lot of problems that need to be addressed.
Organizers also say that identifying these problems and having an honest discussion about them is the first step toward dealing with them.
The YWCA also honored three teenagers with Racial Justice Awards, meant to honor students who work toward ending bias and systematic racism in their communities.
