Conservative Synagogue Adath Israel of Riverdale hosts weekly Israeli folk-dancing parties, that participants say brings everyone together.
Participants say Israeli folk-dancing has become so popular among people of all different ages because of what it represents.
They say the folk dances have symbolized the unity of people of the Jewish faith throughout time.
Rivka Bezborkodko who is almost 79 years old says she never misses a step.
"This keeps me very young. You forget everything," says Bezborkodko.
She says it clears her mind, but also reminds her of her home back in Israel.
