The Rotary Club of Bridgeport held a luncheon in Stratford Tuesday to honor students and teachers.
The club presented teacher recognition awards and Dr. DeNorris Crosby student scholarships.
Crosby was an educator and chair for the Rotary Club student scholarship and teacher luncheon for decades.
The scholarship is awarded to students who excel in academic and extracurricular activities.
"It's really just our chance to recognize them as students and achievers and what we're doing is giving them each a scholarship to use toward college. And then again recognizing the educators that have helped them along the way," said Nicholar Dapaz, president of the Rotary Club.
Scholarships went to 11 high school seniors.
