7h agoSally's Apizza, a world-renowned restaurant in New Haven, celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Fairfield.
The New Haven original opened the doors to its third location on Commerce Drive, right off I-95 with a party Thursday night.
Community members and locals gathered to eat the world-renowned pizza, and dance to music from a special guest DJ.
Owners say they are excited about the event's turnout. They say they see a great future. This Fairfield location is the third of four in the state.
Founded by Salvatore "Sally" Consiglio in 1938, Sally's Apizza hand crafts authentic New Haven pizza using Sally's original recipes and techniques. Known for its signature tomato sauce and chewy, crispy crust with an iconic char, Sally's draws pizza fans from around the world to Connecticut.
