The family of a missing Storrs woman in Japan says the search for her has ended after no evidence of her location has turned up.

Patricia Wu-Murad disappeared in early April while hiking alone through Nara Prefecture in central Japan.

Several police and private searches have not found any evidence that she was even on the trail.

Authorities have not ruled out that she may have been the victim of a crime.
