Sen. Richard Blumenthal is calling on the FDA to help end critical shortages of EpiPens and other anti-allergy devices.
Last week, the agency announced shortages due to delays at the plant which manufactures the device.
Blumenthal sent a letter to the FDA, pushing for immediate action.
"...EpiPens are a matter of life and death for children... who may be allergic to peanuts or other food," said Blumenthal.
A spokesperson for the FDA tells Bloomberg that they've received Blumenthal's letter and will respond to him directly.
