In the wake of hearings this week into the handling of sexual assault and harassment at the New London Coast Guard Academy, Sen. Richard Blumenthal shared next steps with News 12 on Sunday.

"These gripping, graphic stories of sexual assault from members of the Coast Guard – women who were assaulted and harassed – will lead to additional investigation by my permanent subcommittee on investigations,” said Blumenthal.

He says that more evidence could come in the form of additional testimony.

“I'm going to press for documents and other evidence that will end the culture of coverup,” said Blumenthal.
