The men and women of American Medical Response, also known as AMR, were recognized for their service during the pandemic.
"EMS personnel have been putting their lives on the line since 'day-one' to help keep the public safe," Blumenthal says.
He says AMR has been at the tip of the spear in responding to COVID-19 by finding innovative ways to deal with the crisis.
Blumenthal says AMR workers provide a model for EMS personnel nationwide when it comes to showing leadership in their field during a crisis.
