Sen. Richard Blumenthal says he'll be pressing Republican lawmakers to hold a vote this week on health care subsidies.
"This week, I am going to be fighting to extend the health care subsidies that make health insurance affordable for people in Connecticut and all around the country," Blumenthal said on Sunday. "Right now, those rates are astronomically doubling and tripling. Americans need these health care subsidies. Republicans promised a vote and if they fail to enable it, they'll be held accountable."
Blumenthal added that some Republicans recognize the need for subsidies, but their party leadership has continued to oppose it.
