"What we're seeing nationally and the CDC is encouraging... it is the need for more people to get flu shots as well as COVID vaccinations so I'm hoping the federal government will provide support - more outreach, funds and investment - for local health departments to make you aware of the danger of flu - we're entering that season now - as well as COVID," he says.
Blumenthal says he'll be pushing for "a continued public information campaign" to drive home the need for both COVID-19 and flu shots.
