Sen. Chris Murphy will be in Norwalk today to talk about the American Rescue Plan and how it will impact the vaccine rollout.
Sen. Murphy will be holding a roundtable discussion at the Norwalk Community Health Center around 1:15 p.m.
Murphy is a member of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
He'll be joined by the CEO of the Community Health Center, the Norwalk health director, state Sen. Bob Duff and state Rep. Travis Simms.
They'll be talking about the vaccine rollout in Norwalk.
Murphy says the American Rescue Plan includes $14 billion to help with vaccine distribution.
Nationally, Connecticut is in the top three states for getting people vaccinated.
Thirty eight percent of the state's eligible population has gotten their first dose so far, with 200,000 more vaccinations underway.
Officials say everyone 16 and older will become eligible for a shot beginning this Thursday.
