Sen.Chris Murphy visited a Stamford Health COVID-19 vaccine site today to check out how vaccination efforts are going.
Stamford Health currently gives out 700 to 1000 vaccines daily.
The site has Moderna, Pfizer and the Johnson and Johnson vaccines.
Murphy says it's important for the federalgovernment to get the state more doses.
"Obviously, the issues right now are simply supply. We need to produce more vaccine. Stamford has the ability to distribute more, we need to get more into the city and into the state," Murphy says.
Murphy says the American Rescue Plan has allocated $10 billion for vaccine production and $8 billion for distribution.
