Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Joe Martucci says strong-to-severe storms are heading to Connecticut on Monday as the extreme heat finally breaks.
MONDAY: The day starts off with a mix of sun and clouds becoming cloudy with summer-like storms and showers in the afternoon/evening. Storms come in as early as 9 a.m. into the afternoon and may influence rush hour traffic. But, thank you, cold front.
Storms may bring gusty conditions, isolated tornados, hail and significant downpours. More active storms stay south and west. Highs near 88. Lows near 68. 
TUESDAY: Significantly cooler day with sun and more clouds. Highs near 84. Lows near 66.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs near 87. Lows near 71. 
THURSDAY: Sunshine again followed by afternoon summer-like storms through evening. Highs near 88. Lows near 72.
