A shooting in Bridgeport sent three men to the hospital Sunday night, one in critical condition.

Police say the shooting occurred on Benham Avenue near Park Avenue around 9:30. They say two of the men suffered minor bullet wounds to the legs, while the third was hit six times in the abdomen and had to undergo emergency surgery.

Witnesses say it appeared the dispute began over money. Police say two of the three victims refuse to talk, and they plan to interrogate the third when his condition stabilizes. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Detective Bureau at 203-576-7917.
