Sikorsky has plans to lay off workers due to the U.S. Army’s recent decision to cancel the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft program.
The layoffs will impact employees in the Sikorsky business segment. Rep. Rosa DeLauro released a statement about the layoffs, which said she spoke to the company to discuss their plans and how to keep jobs in the state.
The company let 179 workers go in October. They were mostly engineers.
