A Connecticut grandmother says a burden has been lifted a little after a court ruled a soldier was guilty of murdering a fellow soldier, her grandson.
A court martial found 20-year-old Special Neftaly Platero guilty of two counts of premeditated murder and one count of attempted premeditated murder on Tuesday. Gebrah Noonan, 26, was shot to death in 2010 by his roommate.
U.S. Army officials say the suspect opened fire during an argument at a U.S. base because he was upset that the victims' made their room too messy. Platero was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
