Another round of stormy weather made its way through southwestern Connecticut Friday and is expected to last through the weekend.
In Norwalk, a man was knocked to the floor after he says his home was struck by lightning. There was also a car accident along Post Road that forced police to close off part of Route 1. In addition, several homes in the Charles Street area are still without power.
Within the last 10 days, southwestern Connecticut has endured it all in terms of weather -- tornado, heat wave, heavy rains and lightning storms. Over the weekend, the severe weather is expected to continue. Public works crews are preparing for potential heavy flooding. Meantime, in Westport, crews are still trying to clean up debris left over from this week's storms. And Fairfield officials are preparing for the weekend storms that are expected after dealing with downed trees throughout the area.
