Southwestern Connecticut's finest were honored and remembered Monday to mark the start of Police Officer Memorial Week.
Law enforcement agencies throughout Norwalk, Greenwich and Darien joined in the tribute.
A plaque dedicated to Stamford Police Sergeant Jim Delano was given to his family. Sgt. Delano died almost two years ago on the job. His sister says ceremonies like this are important for neighbors to realize just how critical police officers are to their communities.
