St. Vincent’s Medical Center held its annual Veterans Day service Monday, honoring the courage and sacrifice of those who have served in the armed forces.
The ceremony included prayers of reflection and the blessing of a wreath, as hospital staff, patients and community members gathered in gratitude.
Organizers say every day is Veterans Day at St. Vincent’s. As part of an ongoing tradition, the hospital presents an American flag to every veteran admitted as a patient.
To date, more than 1,589 flags have been distributed — a symbol of appreciation that continues to grow year after year.
