? Many residents who are just getting their power turned back on following this weekend?s storm are returning home to find frozen or burst pipes.
The Turn of River Fire Department in Stamford says it?s had a few calls about frozen and burst pipes since the homes were without heat for so many hours. Many local plumbers are backed up on calls as well.
Firefighters say if you think you have frozen pipes, shut off the main water valve to the house but leave faucets open. Let the house warm up and then turn the water back on. They say you then need to listen and look for leaks.
