Kids in Stamford got a unique opportunity Thursday to spend the day at the hospital and learn about working in the health care industry.

Stamford Health held its first bring your child to work day.

Children whose parents work in the hospital had the chance to see what their parents do and learn about various jobs. They toured the hospital and participated in different hands-on activities.

Staff say they hope to make the day an annual event, as they had more kids who wanted to take part than they could accommodate.
