A Stamford High School student was trapped in Lebanon for more than a week when the war between Israel and Hezbollah began. Amanda Saade says she'll never forget the sounds of attack and says it's been hard for her to escape the images of war. Saade was staying with family in a town an hour west of Beirut just outside the Lebanon-Syria border. Just one week into her vacation war broke out. The 15-year-old describes the war-ridden country as mayhem with people everywhere trying to escape. Saade?s mom says after more than a week of consistent phone calls to the American embassy, her daughter left the Middle East last week and returned home to Stamford Sunday night. Saade says she tries to watch television news to get the latest details on the war, but admits it's a stressful experience.
