The Stamford Police Department has identified a man found dead along a popular path in Harbor Point.
Investigators identified him as 20-year-old Modesto Santiago-Gomez. He is believed to be homeless. Next of kin and the Guatemalan consulate were notified.

The police department called the death suspicious and is proceeding with this death investigation as a criminal incident.
On Thursday, Harbor Point neighbors called the find "shocking," "scary" and "alarming."
Harbor Point is a popular place to live in Stamford with high-end apartment buildings, restaurants and the waterfront.
