Stamford police: Motorist killed in dirt bike accident

Oscar Chinchilla-Najarro, of Stamford, was operating a 2001 Kawasaki dirt bike when he lost control, mounted the curb and crashed along the guardrail on the east side of the park.

Stamford police responded just after 11 p.m. on Friday to a motorcycle accident at 100 Bridge Street in Scalzi Park.
Oscar Chinchilla-Najarro, of Stamford, was operating a 2001 Kawasaki dirt bike when he lost control, mounted the curb and crashed along the guardrail on the east side of the park.
He suffered fatal injuries during the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The initial investigation revealed that the speed of the motorcycle may have been a factor in this crash.
