Anabel Figueroa, a state representative and member of the Stamford Board of Representatives, has withdrawn her resignation after facing backlash for making antisemitic comments about her primary opponent.
Although Figueroa lost the primary and initially announced her resignation from the board, she never formally submitted it to the mayor, as required by the city charter.
She has now rescinded her letter to the board of representatives president, Jeff Curtis, and will remain on the board.
Figueroa has also refused to step down from the state legislature and will serve out the remainder of her term.
