The Thomas family lost everything in Hurricane Katrina and has finally settled in Stamford to start their new lives. The family moved several times before Union Baptist Church invited them to relocate to Stamford.
Almost everything in the family's apartment is donated. The family says it has no plans to return to New Orleans. As far as they are concerned, Stamford is now their home.
